It seems that the new mechanical range hood controller is slight different from the broken one. The light must be on and powered to make the fan operate in any speed. So when the light is off the fan is off. Seems ok to me and rechecked that I followed my wiring photos so not to mix up the connections. I didn’t know, wish I knew ahead or for warned that the spay electrical connector have a little tiny lock and when squeezing correctly slide right off, other wise you risk pulling the connection to the pc board and need to resolver the connection to the board. Any way it all worked out. ALSO it would be nice to have a dimmer switch on the lighting asan option for night light or bright cooking light. Kind of variable would be nice.
