Definitely a lighter construction and I understand that. Motor housing did not need to be aluminum, plastic does the job but stainless is lighter gauge and flimsier.
Biggest problem was too small a chimney- no room for the exhaust pipe. My old one had an enlarger connected to hood as exhaust hole was 7”
No room for old 7” pipe so had to buy 6” and put enlarger into exhaust hole after cutting it down
There is only 5/8” between pipe and wall
I had to flatten pipe to make chimney go on- make chimney an inch bigger both ways on your next design
Buttons- when off = no lights, either power or light button should be lit up when off
Also unit does not sit flush against wall as old unit did - damn near a 1/8” gap
Other than that - it works thank you
